After the demise of Oliver in the year 1908 Alva redesigned the first floor of the Belmont Castle with
the help of famous architect John Russel Pope. She used to stay at the court during the days of summer.
After the death of Alva Oliver's brother sold Belcourt Castle along with the adjacent land and furniture of the castle. Tinney family became the owner of the castle in the year 1965 and they have furnished the castle with the collections of antiques and art-treasures collected from 33 countries around the world.
Visit in the Belcourt Castle:
Belcourt Castle is run by Royals Arts Foundations. This museum is open to the public as a repository of antiques depicting architectural and social history. All the sixty rooms of Belcout Castle are not open to the visitors. Only a dozen of them can be viewed on the tour. The visitors may see an English Library, a few grand halls, a chapel, a loggia, a gallery, a French Gothic styled bedroom, a banquet hall, and a music room. All the rooms are furnished with collections from Tinney family. The collection include art materials and artifacts and furnitures from the different countries of the world.
The visitors can also enjoy tours by candle light and ghost tours regularly.
The most important thing about Belcourt Castle is it is a castle which is open for public viewing and at the same time has a private owner residing in the castle.
