Rhode Island Climate

Rhode Island is the smallest and one of the most beautiful states in the New England region of Northeastern part of United States. For its abundance of natural assets and historical sites, Rhode Island is one of the most important tourist destination in this part of the country and gets large number of national and international tourists throughout the year. But apart from its natural beauty and historical importance, Rhode Island climate is another important reason behind its popularity as a tourist destination.

Unlike other states in the Northeastern part of the country, Rhode Island climate is relatively hot. As it bordered by the Atlantic Ocean on the south, Rhode Island has got a continental climate with a hot and humid summer with heavy rainfall and cold and snowy winter.
